The research study, says Crawford, is a shift from the focus of the dozens of studies PM Solutions Research has carried out over the past 20 years, which explored various project and program management practices in detail. "The present study pivots from project management itself, to the impact of project management on the fulfillment of strategic plans. We made this shift because, quite simply, organizations are not doing that well at achieving their goals. Several Harvard Business Review articles over the past few years have shown that, although companies now do well at strategic planning, their follow-through is poor."

The webinar will explore ways that project management leaders can use adaptive processes to deliver on strategic plans. Says Crawford, "We in the project management profession have processes and tools that can help make strategy a reality."
