About Victor L. Allen

Victor L. Allen, PMP, (allenv@dteenergy.com) is a Director, Major Enterprise Projects, at DTE Electric, a subsidiary of DTE Energy, (NYSE:DTE) a Detroit-based diversified energy company that develops and manages energy-related businesses and services nationwide. He has led DTE’s Project Management Maturity Assessment, developing processes and procedures for effective project execution and managing unique high-visibility projects such as the Detroit Recovery Project. In addition, Allen supports various new capital and capital improvement projects and serves as coach, mentor and advisor to project managers.

Allen earned his MBA from Lawrence Technological University and is now an adjunct professor at LTU, teaching graduate level courses in both the MBA and Master of Science Information Systems programs.  He is an instructor for the Project Management Institute, and co-author, with Ron May, of Project Management for Experienced Project Managers.
