The State of the PMO 2025 Research Report and Data

The State of the PMO 2025 was designed to help us understand current practices as well as trends that will lead to improved PMO strategic impact and enterprise success. By sharing their experiences, respondents help their organizations benchmark their PMO against others and build a business case to strengthen their PMO. We asked organizations questions about their PMO’s size, scope, and complexity; the types of activities it engages in; who staffs the PMO and what types of training they receive. We asked them whether they used project management office as a service and whether they used artificial intelligence in their activities. We also asked them to gauge their overall PMO performance and determine what activities are high priorities over the next 24 months.
