New Research Study Published: PM Skills for Value Delivery

May 9, 2023 | by Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin

I already written about the genesis of this new study, which was spurred by concern that project managers were not focusing on the right skills in their professional development journeys. But since the study questions were originally framed late last year, a new source of concern has appeared on the horizon.

ChatGPT is just the most recent source of jitters, even for those who have long championed the idea that Artificial Intelligence would take over a certain percentage -- anywhere from 10 to 80 percent, depending on who you talk to -- of a project manager's more onerous tasks. The question of what project managers can and will do with the time freed up by having an "AI assistant" has become pressing.

Take a look at the skills deemed most important by high performing organizations to see where the profession is headed next. And download the executive summary here.
